Peter Savvas is Principal at redcastle advisors

Peter’s experience combines Corporate Development, Finance & Strategy.

Based in Paris since 2009, he works with start-up and high-growth companies in the consumer Internet & mobile space.  He draws on an international network of expertise for each specific client need.

Peter has extensive transactional & operational experience across early stage & public entities. This was developed in senior executive roles in diverse markets, including 13 years in Australia, 3 years in Europe, & across businesses & transactions ranging from the US to Asia.

He spent 10 years at Challenger Financial (challenger.com.au), an Australian investment management firm (€20bn global assets & funds under management).  He was Director in the Capital, Risk & Strategy Group. Peter held management roles across Treasury, Corporate Development & Legal during a period of international expansion & rapid growth (from 50 to 1,000 employees).

During this time, he worked across hundreds of transactions; raised domestic & international funds (€500m+ from US, Europe, Australia, Asia); advised on & raised capital for numerous IPO’s (including the IPO of two venture capital funds), hedge funds & for international acquisitions.

Prior to that, Peter was a corporate lawyer at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (mallesons.com), a leading Australian legal firm. He commenced his career as a consultant at Arthur Andersen, an international accounting / consulting firm.

Peter received an Executive MBA from INSEAD (France, Singapore, United Arab Emirates) and Bachelor’s degrees in both Commerce & Law from the University of New South Wales (Australia). Peter is also a qualified Australian Legal Practitioner (since 1994).

He regularly presents & lectures at leading French universities (Paris Sorbonne; Arts et Métiers ParisTech (ENSAM) ).
